My family (mother, brother, sister, and brother-in-law) kindly dropped me off in downtown Seattle where I waited for the other guys to show up. I appreciate my family. They are so encouraging and supportive of me and my adventurous spirit.
After 3-4 hours, Robert Campbell dropped the guys off in downtown Seattle where we met up. What a guy! How many people would be willing to take 8-10 hours out of their day just to go drop some folks off at the airport. How grateful I am for him. After presenting a few of the many treasures of Seattle to Arrio, we were kindly invited to our good friend Ben Robles' and his wife Joy's place to pass the remainder of our waiting time in warmth. How grateful I am for people like them. Blake seemed nervous but excited, Arrio and Sam bickered back and forth, and Dalton seemed energetic and anxious.
An amazing person helped us out today. Mikayla Kent drove us from downtown Seattle to Ben's, and from Ben's to the airport. She saved us loads of hassle, stress, and time. I'm grateful for her kindness.
As we checked in at the airport, the representative for Eva Airlines was so gracious to us. She managed to get us all seats right next to each other in the emergency exit rows (which means more leg room!). She was so happy to help.
Essentially, today was another reminder of how good some people are. Robert, my family, Ben, Mikayla, and the Eva Air representative displayed some of the positive aspects of humanity: compassion, service, and kindness. I hope that I can do the same as I begin my journey in Southeast Asia.
Until next time. Cheers.
